Tight Time
In 1982 my wife and I went to a homeschool conference in Atlanta to hear Dr Raymond Moore, Phyllis Schlaffly, Wendle Bird, Esq., and Dan Pelliter, Esq. That was a super encouraging experience, especially meeting other homeschooling families.
We met a nurse from Atlanta at that meeting. Her husband was no longer in their family's life as she raised 3 children. They were a home educating family. She purposely worked the times no one else wanted to work at the hospital, holidays, weekends, and nights so she could get that pay differential and be available to her children during the day.
She gave each child their lesson plan and then went to bed during the day. They had clear instructions, "If you get stuck, come wake me up. I can go back to sleep later, but I don't want you unable to move ahead on your lessons."
Right then I knew the sacrifice she was making personally, so she could do what she believed was the right thing for her children.
Your story will be different, but just as gripping, just as dramatic, and will require you to radically extend yourself. Having well trained children is the target and goal. You can do it.
Please reach out to your local THEA chapter. You will find people there who will understand what you are going through. Listening to you they may be able to identify some ways that you could be helped or some pitfalls to avoid.
